When we were first established, in 1991, we made the conscious decision to focus, solely and exclusively, on residential architecture. This was pretty risky for a young emerging firm to hitch its wagon to the least lucrative of all the areas of specialization in the field of Architecture. But, in truth, there was really no other option from our perspective. The reason behind this was the desire to work closely and intimately with our clients to help them craft their immediate and essential environment: their own home. Our Team has placed a continuous emphasis on Smart Sustainable design in each and every project that we undertake. We do this both for the wellbeing of our clients and from a deeply held, personal, core belief that we have an incredible responsibility as place makers to do so. The stakes have never been higher, nor the opportunities more abundant, than they are right now.

I think that pretty well sums it up. We are not just creating space; indeed any designer can do that. We are literally transforming people’s lives, and we approach every single project from that frame of reference.
