I just wanted to thank you again for your work you did for us in our home addition project. We are greatly pleased not only with tire final result, but also with how you conceive planned, and executed the whole project.

We had concerns about producing plans for the project based on previous experiences with other architects. We felt as if we existed for their benefit and not the other way around. By contrast, we felt from our first consultation with you that our needs and wants would be first and foremost. Suggestions made by you were either incorporated into our planning or withdrawn based solely on our response to your suggestion. Never did we feel we were “along for the ride”. Your accessibility in returning all calls and inquires in a timely manner was greatly appreciated.

Our project involved adding a four-season sun porch to our kitchen outer wall on the west side of our house to make the kitchen more useful. Our house was built in 1869, and the kitchen was too small for anything more than food preparation or as a pass through to the basement. We cou1dn’t even fit a kitchen table into the room! We wanted to open the outer wall into the porch addition to create a larger living space in what should be the heart of home activity, but to do so in a historically sensitive manner.

After meeting with us and helping to fully develop our concept of what would best meet our needs, you provided us with three fully developed proposals. Each was wonderful in its own way, but ultimately, we selected the proposal that we now use on a daily basis. You caught the historical flavor and style of our house perfectly, blending modern building techniques with Victorian era design to produce an addition to our house which few if any ever suspect as not being part of the original structure. It seamlessly extends our living space and enhances our family interactions. All in all, the project went far more smoothly than we expected, and that was greatly influenced by your involvement in the planning.
