Architectural Resource is very excited to present a virtual tour of The 713 Project – ‘For the Journey’. This new home construction project in Ann Arbor, Michigan is registered with the USGBC with the certification goal of LEED for Homes® Platinum and is the first in the State to utilize the WarmFörm® frost-protected floating foundation system. This home has been designed to be a net-zero energy home: one that is entirely powered by the sun!
A LEED for Homes® Platinum home is one that meets the rigorous requirements of the United States Green Building Council’s green certification standards in eight different resource categories including: Innovation and Design; Location and Linkages; Sustainable Sites; Water Efficiency; Energy and Atmosphere; Materials and Resources; Indoor Environmental Quality; Awareness and Education. The WarmForm® frost-protected floating foundation system is one that utilizes the latent heat of the Earth itself to prevent frost heave. This system is an ideal option for a home that will be utilizing a cost-effective slab on grade construction.
This home is one of the twelve projects that will be featured on this year’s Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor (BRAG) Showcase of Homes event. The BRAG tour is an annual event showcasing the best in residential design and construction.
