We received the most beautiful, enchanting (and mysteriously anonymous) hand-crafted letter in the mail recently. It was an elegantly composed short bit of prose celebrating one of our Arts and Crafts homes (also anonymous). Here is an excerpt: “When the trees spoke of your Arts and Crafts home, they felt recognized again. In its restoration they sensed a return to intention- material chosen honestly, surfaces allowed to speak, form shaped to endure rather than impress. They recognized the respect once taken for granted: that wood is not merely finished, but trusted.” Magical! We don’t know who sent this, but we are touched, moved and inspired.
